It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Symonds, our rally coordinator and founder. John was killed in a skydiving accident Sunday, August 20, 2006. John was the life force behind the balloon rally. It was his dream to make it an incredible community event, where everyone could enjoy the beautiful hot air balloons, music and other activities, and while doing so, raise money for children and families in need through the Children's Miracle Network. His inspiration and enthusiasm will be greatly missed. We encourage you all to come out and help celebrate John's passion for life and his vision for our community.
